Major Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to classroom teachers and staff in the full and skillful implementation of the schools’ goals for adopted curriculum programs and technology integration.
  • Provide on-site development for staff and students related to best practices for technology integration to support student learning in all subject areas, based on ISTE technology standards for staff and students.
  • Provide instructional training in digital tools that focus on creation, exploration and interactive lessons.
  • Model strategies and coach classroom teachers with curriculum technology projects, digital citizenship, and site technology policies.
  • Serve as a resource in identifying, developing and/or disseminating effective instructional strategies and interventions to improve students’ achievement.
  • Assist with the selection and implementation of new instructional software applications.
  • Assist with the development of policies and best practices for technology integration and operation throughout the school.
  • Provide schoolwide trainings as needed.
  • Assist in troubleshooting hardware and software problems. Perform minor technical repairs and installations (access points, printers, computer accessories)
  • Assist in maintaining the inventory of all hardware, software and electronic media.
  • Teach student classes as assigned in support of the educational mission of the school and to act as a model for instructional best practices and integration best practices.

Qualification Preferred:

  • Knowledge of O365, GSuite, Blackbaud onSuite
  • Experience with learning tools such as Voicethread, Flipgrid, CoSpaces, Scratch
  • Familiarity with general technology troubleshooting for PC, Mac, iPad, basic networking, basic server functions
  • Experience in facilitating workshops, demonstrating lessons, coaching/mentoring, focusing on effective strategies for teaching learners
  • Experience in analyzing and using data to inform decisions related to classroom instruction
  • Experience in staff development, coaching and technology integration
  • Ability to self-initiate, communicate effectively orally and in writing and work with new and experienced staff.
  • Knowledge of up-to-date theories, techniques and methodologies related to curriculum, instruction, tech integration and staff development for teachers.
  • Ability to encourage, coach and support teachers during the learning process.
