Jen brought over a decade of teaching and education administration experience to her role as the Director of Strategic Initiatives & Professional Development when she joined the National Coalition of Girls’ Schools in 2014. As a graduate of The Madeira School, she understands first-hand the transformative power of an all-girls education. Jen has retained strong ties to her alma mater, initially as the Assistant Director of Alumnae Relations, as well as having served as a member, Secretary, and Co-Chair of the Head of School Search Committee of the Board of Trustees.
For NCGS, Jen takes the lead role in implementing all professional development programs, including conferences, symposiums, and online initiatives, designed to enrich the knowledge and skills of faculty and staff within the NCGS community. Additionally, she is responsible for identifying, cultivating, and implementing strategic partnerships and sponsorships that will benefit NCGS member schools. Under Jen’s oversight, NCGS launched the Educating Girls Symposium series and hosted the first-ever Global Forum on Girls’ Education.
Prior to joining NCGS, Jen taught middle and upper school Mandarin Chinese at the Latin School of Chicago. Previously, Jen served as the Associate Dean of Upper School Admission and Assistant Director of Financial Aid at Cranbrook Schools and as the Associate Director for External Relations at Lake Forest Academy.
Jen earned her B.A. in Asian Studies and Religion from Dartmouth College and an M.A. in East Asian Studies from Stanford University.
