Her Voice Toolkit: Civic Engagement & Civil Discourse

Girls’ school graduates expect to vote more often and are 10% more likely than their peers from coed schools to have a political discussion with friends.

How do you ensure all student voices are heard and incorporated into classroom discussions? How do you create an environment where differences are respected and understood? How do you engage and lead students in civil discourse during political conversations?

The following resources are a selection of materials to aid NCGS member schools as they help girls and young women develop and exercise their political voices. Use these materials and data points not only to engage students in the classroom, but to inspire families to select an all-girls school, educate the community about the outcomes of all-girls schools, and inform the media that girls’ schools are more relevant today than ever before.
