The Academy of Notre Dame’s opening faculty meetings included presentations and workshops by Natalie Demers, Director of Research Initiatives & Programs at NCGS. This new member school north of Boston in Tyngsboro, MA, is an independent, Catholic coed school for PK-8 with an all-girls Upper School for 9-12. The full faculty heard the research in support of all-girls education before discussing how the advantages manifest themselves in their high school. The Upper School faculty then met to learn more about best practices in teaching girls before sharing what they are doing in their classrooms to effectively teach in an all-girls environment.
