Over 70 advancement professionals were welcomed by NCGS Executive Director Megan Murphy and Director of Strategic Initiatives & Professional Development Jen Shakeshaft to a reception held in conjunction with the 2019 CASE-NAIS Conference. It was a wonderful opportunity for those dedicated to supporting girls’ schools through fundraising, alumnae and parent relations, and communications to network and share best practices. Many thanks to Graham-Pelton Consulting for their generous sponsorship of this event.
The next day, Megan and Jen made their way to The Agnes Irwin School, where Head of School Wendy Hill graciously hosted a gathering of nearly 30 representatives of NCGS member and prospective member schools to discuss plans for the 2020 NCGS Conference, Stand Up, Speak Up: Girls Using Their Voices to Engage, Empower, and Enact, which will take place at the Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown Hotel, June 22-24, 2020. Participants engaged in a thoughtful conversation about the essential questions that will be addressed at the conference, covering topics such as increasing the number of women in government and corporate leadership, encouraging healthy dissent, and better understanding the concept of power for all women. Mark your calendars now for this exciting event!
