The Assistant Director of the Senior School, Ivy Compass, provides strategic direction, leadership, and oversight on all aspects of student engagement in the Ivy Compass program, and is a member of the Senior School Leadership Team and the Whole School Learning Council. The Assistant Director provides leadership to the Assistant Coordinator Ivy and the Outdoor Education Coordinator, as well as working closely with  the Heads of Grade to oversee the elements of the advisory programme that pertain to the Ivy Compass.

Crofton House School is seeking a Library Assistant to work from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm when the girls are at school. The Library Assistant is responsible for providing assistance with the day-to-day operations of the library and collection maintenance, as well as providing project support to the teacher-librarian to ensure the efficient and smooth operations of the Junior School library.  Responsibilities include:

  • Provide administrative and project support to the teacher librarian
  • Process books and use the online library database to catalogue new library resources
  • Answer general queries, assist users with finding resources
  • Sign in/out library materials, manage automated overdue emails
  • Assist teacher librarian with collection maintenance duties such as shelving, shelf reading, repairing and weeding or resources, conducting inventory, and updating the library database
  • Assist teacher-librarian in maintaining displays in the library and look after the general upkeep and welcome appearance of the library
  • Assist with tracking and organizing book sales during author events
  • Perform general clerical duties such as laminating, photocopying, filing etc.
