Student Leadership Conference Grant

Every year, NCGS has the pleasure of offering to two girls from NCGS member schools the opportunity to travel to Australia to attend the Student Leadership Conference (SLC) organized by our affiliate, the Alliance of Girls’ Schools Australasia.

Two students in their 11th or 12th grade year are invited to attend the upcoming SLC at The Women’s College, University of Sydney, Newtown, Australia, from January 14-17, 2020. The selected NCGS representatives will join fellow student delegates from Australia, New Zealand, UK, and Asia. The girls selected should be independent and confident young women who will be excellent representatives of their school and of NCGS.

About the Conference

The Student Leadership Conference is a fabulous opportunity to learn, interact, and grow in awareness of both self and others, and as both a leader and a team player. The conference provides unparalleled opportunities for girls to explore leadership styles and strategies, reflect on their own leadership aspirations, and build meaningful life-long connections with other young leaders. The girls are engaged in a range of activities designed to develop leadership capabilities, resilience, and an understanding of themselves and their leadership styles.

Girls will be accommodated on campus in student residences at The Women’s College where the majority of conference activities will take place.
