The Ransome Prize

The Ransome Prize is an annual award presented in honor of Coalition co-founder Whitty Ransome, which was established by her husband Tom Wilcox in 2008. The Coalition presents this award to a woman who has made outstanding contributions to the Coalition and one of its member schools to further the our purpose to be “the leading advocate for girls’ schools, connecting and collaborating globally with individuals, schools, and organizations dedicated to educating and empowering girls.”

The H. William Christ Educator Prize

The H. William Christ Educator Prize is an annual award presented in honor of former Coalition Trustee and long-time visionary Head of Hathaway Brown School Bill Christ, established in 2016 by his friends at Hathaway Brown. This award is presented annually to a man or woman who has demonstrated commitment to extraordinary teaching, program design, and/or curricular innovation in a member school.

The Moulton Student Global Citizenship Grant

In honor of the Coalition’s 25th Anniversary in 2016, Coalition co-founder Meg Moulton established an annual grant for a faculty-led team of member school students. The grant helps engage girls in leadership, fortify their strategic thinking, and enhance their global mindfulness by developing empathy and respect for others.

Baret Scholars

Named after Jeanne Baret, the first woman to circumnavigate the globe, Baret Scholars is a global gap year program that brings together a cohort of 180 just-graduated high school students from around the world to journey across seven regions (North America, South America, Europe, Africa, Middle East, India/Southeast Asia, and China/East Asia), over 200 days, in a semi-structured and self-guided gap year experience. These scholars will explore their personal interests in different regions via prominent local speakers, curated traveling Fellowships, and optional volunteer opportunities.

The Hafize Gaye Erkan First Republic Fellowship ProgramSM

The Hafize Gaye Erkan First Republic Fellowship ProgramSM fosters STEM education, leadership, and career paths for promising young women from underserved backgrounds. The Fellowship provides a uniquely holistic approach to developing young women into lifelong learners and transformational leaders of character. Erkan Fellows SM  will participate in a mentorship program that includes academic counselors, business professionals and executive leaders. This year-round engagement program will include career development and educational activities.

Australasia’s premier annual conference for student leaders of girls’ schools is back in-person 

Supporting the development of young female leaders is a priority for ICGS. The Student Leadership Conference provides unparalleled opportunities for girls to explore leadership styles and strategies, reflect on their own leadership aspirations and build meaningful life-long connections with other young leaders. Our conference program has been designed specifically to meet the needs of this exclusive cohort of girls. It responds to the challenges faced by girls on their leadership journey. The girls are engaged in a range of activities designed to develop leadership capabilities, resilience and an understanding of themselves and their leadership styles.
