Real life lessons are learned in the context of math classes in grades 9 -12 and in an accounting course. A guest lecture series brings speakers from the business community to the campus. Girls acquire financial management skills as they run the school bookstore. In math class graphing calculators are used to track interest rates and the impact of income taxes. Lessons in philanthropy are learned through organizing two benefit concerts a year and in the process of selecting a worthy charitable organization as the recipient of monies raised.
