Financial Fitness: Getting in Shape for the Future is a financial literacy program designed to provide Girls' Preparatory School (GPS) students with the information and tools they need to meet the financial challenges they will face.

The four-part program includes: speakers for the entire student body; exercises for advisory groups to heighten financial awareness; an increased emphasis on financial topics in math class; and a special four-part informational series designed especially for seniors. Among the topics covered are:

 Cost of living

 Career opportunities in finance

 Savings and investments

 Uses/misuses of credit and loans

 Power of compound interest

 Dollar value of a good education

 Reality-based budgeting

 Characteristics of good money mangers

 How spending reflects values.
