Kent Place Receives CASE Gold and Silver Awards
12/20/2007
Summit, NJ -- The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE), the leading organization of college and independent school communications and development professionals, recently honored Kent Place School in the CASE District II Accolades Awards program, which recognizes excellence in alumni, communications and fundraising programs.
The Office of Development & Alumnae Relations received acclaim and earned Kent Place a gold award in the alumni relations programming category for their Student Ambassador Outreach Program: 3-10 Project (pictured, right). The 3-10 Project, created by Assistant Director of Annual Giving & Special Events Laura Kapuscinski, is a cross divisional opportunity that engages tenth grade Ambassador representatives with third grade students to learn about the function of the Development & Alumnae Relations Office.
In addition to the gold award, Kent Place also received a silver award in the fundraising packages category for their 2006-2007 Annual Fund publications. Last year, Kent Place won a gold award for their 2005-2006 Annual Fund materials and the year prior, a silver award for their 2004-2005 Annual Fund materials. Director of Communications Rachel Naggar, together with art direction provided by Abbie Moore Reiter '83 of Abbie Moore Design in Summit, created the award-winning pieces.
Elizabeth Budd Bugliari '59, Director of Development & Alumnae Relations, notes "It is always an honor to be acknowledged for creative design and innovative programs. We are particularly gratified to be recognized for our Ambassador Outreach Program as this initiative is also instructive for the students involved as to the importance of fundraising at their school."
Last year, Kent Place also received a bronze award for their annual academic newsletter Voyager and an honorable mention for their bi-annual magazine Keeping Pace. In early 2005, Kent Place received a bronze award in the educational fundraising category for their Senior Class Giving Program, and in 2004, was awarded a gold award in the visual design in print category for logos and nameplates for their Conversations Across Difference: A Symposium on Diversity logo. In 2002, Kent Place received two awards: a bronze for fundraising publications and a bronze for visual design in print.
