Founded in 1907, Forest Ridge School of the Sacred Heart is a Catholic, all-girls, independent, college-preparatory school serving students grades 5 through 12. Position Description: The Director of Marketing, Public Relations & Communications will spearhead execution of a Marketing plan to support current needs and future strategic initiatives while ensuring that all communications activities are in concert with the school's mission.


The Director will be the chief spokesperson for Forest Ridge and will coordinate all internal and external communications and marketing activities including publications, media, advertising and Web site.  Important facets of the position include interface with a variety of school's departments, particularly Admissions, Alumnae and Development as well as external constituents and vendors.

The Director reports to the Head of School and is a member of the Senior Administration team.

Qualifications: We are looking for an articulate, dynamic person with outstanding interpersonal, verbal and written skills to represent Forest Ridge. The successful candidate will have at a minimum a BA, experience in a marketing communications environment and a demonstrable understanding of the principles of effective market position and communication.  We seek candidates with demonstrated ability to write, understand design and layout software and experience in web authoring. The candidate must have a proven competence in managing multiple deadlines. Candidates will have a minimum of five years of relevant full-time experience with writing and /or public relations in a corporate, nonprofit and / or educational setting.
