Atlanta Girls' School Named Best in Science/Math by Atlanta Magazine

01/15/2009

The school focuses on using technology in the classroom and was the first school in the Atlanta area to offer the Apple MacIntosh 1:1/student to laptop program. Additionally, the school offers SMART Girls camp --- a summer program for girls that focuses on math, science and technology and hosts an annual robotics event, Bot'Oberfest.  Statistics showing graduates from girls' school are four times more likely as female graduates from traditional schools to pursue careers in math, science and technology.

The Atlanta Girls' School is a nondiscriminatory, nonsectarian college preparatory school for girls grades 6 through 12.  Opened in August 2000, the school provides a challenging college preparatory program in a learning environment designed to allow girls to achieve their full potential. The school is located at 3254 Northside Parkway.  For more information, call 404.845.0900 or visit the school website at http://www.atlantagirlsschool.org/.
