Oldfields School, an all-girls international boarding and day school, grades 8-12, is seeking a full-time, experienced English teacher to begin in August 2018. The School is committed to teaching a population of diverse learners including English language learners. Therefore, the position requires a versatile teacher with experience and education in teaching literature, writing, and language mechanics from the introductory level to AP and advanced levels. The ideal candidate will be energetic and engaging, with a willingness to inspire and support all kinds of learners. Qualified candidates may be considered for a Department Head position.

Duties will include:
- Teaching five English classes
- Coaching or other extracurricular activity.
- Advising two-four students.
- Faculty who receive free residential housing and board are required to do periodic dorm supervision and weekend duty, and other duties pertinent to boarding school needs.
- Faculty who live off campus are required to do monthly weekend duty.

Minimum requirements:
- B.A. or M.A. in English or other closely related field.
- Three or more years full-time teaching experience English language and literature
- To be considered for a Department Head position, two or more years of experience in that position
- An interest in participating in the athletic, extracurricular and residential life of the school.
- Ability to oversee the student literary publications and possibly the annual yearbook.
