Harpeth Hall: English Teacher Upper School 2018-2019 (Posted: December 12, 2017)

Harpeth Hall seeks a dynamic, creative teacher to join a highly collaborative upper school English department.  The ideal candidate will possess an enthusiasm for working with high school students in an all-girls environment, a commitment to innovative pedagogy, and excellent writing and communication skills.

Additionally, the ideal candidate will be an experienced English teacher who is caring, passionate, and capable of demonstrating developmentally appropriate pedagogy in teaching a wide range of literature courses from freshmen through seniors. Other important qualifications include an interest in developing interdisciplinary curriculum and a comfort and familiarity with the use of relevant technology to enhance pedagogy.

A bachelor’s degree is required. Three or more years of full-time teaching experience and an advanced degree are preferred. This position is full-time for the 2018-19 academic year, and may include being an advisor and sponsor of assigned co-curricular activities in the Upper School.
