Sacred Heart Academy, an all-girls Catholic college-preparatory school serving approximately 800 students, is seeking a dynamic educational leader to serve as its principal beginning in July, 2018.

The principal serves as the academic leader responsible for the development, implementation, supervision and evaluation of a comprehensive educational program and extracurricular activities, as well as articulating Sacred Heart Academy’s mission and upholding the traditions of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Brentwood. The principal establishes, demonstrates and promotes the highest standard and expectations for academic performance, while emphasizing the qualities of excellence, creativity and innovation amongst the students, faculty and staff.

Candidates must have a master’s degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership or Education Administration. NYS School Leadership Certification required. A minimum of ten years of teaching and/or administrative experience, majority at a high school level. The candidate must be a Catholic in good standing, with a genuine commitment to Catholic education.
