Academy at Penguin Hall: Humanities Teacher (Posted: Feb. 20, 2018)

The Academy at Penguin Hall is an all-girls independent college preparatory high school with a mission to educate, enlighten and empower young women to live and to lead exemplary lives. Everything at The Academy at Penguin Hall is by design, not by default. Here, "I don't know" is the catalyst that fuels our learning and growth. We believe in challenging the status quo of traditional education by encouraging freedom within a framework of meaningful rigor. By cultivating an environment which fosters and inspires continual improvement, we challenge young women with a unique opportunity to demand more from their education. We are expanding our team.

The Academy at Penguin Hall seeks an experienced Humanities teacher. Candidates must possess an exceptional work ethic, strong communication skills, and a commitment to building positive relationships with young women, parents, and colleagues. Experience in project/problem based learning is a plus. Strong preference will be given to applicants with an advanced, subject-area degree and prior independent school teaching experience. Outside of the classroom full time faculty at The Academy serve as advisors, club facilitators, and/or coaches. For more information and to apply, contact Jan Healy, Dean of Academics, at
