Stone Ridge School of the Sacred Heart: Director of Performing Arts (Posted: Jan. 5, 2018)

Stone Ridge is seeking a Director of Performing Arts to begin on August 1, 2018. The Director of Performing Arts provides leadership to the School’s performing arts programming. S/he assists Division Heads with the supervision of and provides leadership and support for, PK-12 music, theater, and dance faculty. S/he collaborates with the Director of Curriculum to articulate and implement a mission-driven, standards-based performing arts curriculum. S/he supports the coordination of all curricular and co-curricular performing arts programming, including the annual all-school Christmas Concert, the annual Spring Festival, theatrical productions, dance recitals, and other occasional performances. S/he teaches performing arts courses as determined by the candidate’s background and the needs of the program; an estimated 50-60% of her/his time is spent teaching. S/he supports the Head of School with the assessment of physical space as it relates to the performing arts and assists with the current master planning process as it relates to the performing arts program. As a member of the School’s Management Team, the Director of Performing Arts collaborates with other program leaders and administrators to shape the programmatic and professional life of the School.
